So yeah, been working on the official con dvd for a few days now. Im not sure I like how its coming out.
So I may erase what I have and just start again. I really wanna get it done soon as I have so many other things to do.

well it looks like nicole and myself are going to be Chicago for the convention.
I'm just a little worried about cash at the moment. no dire emergencies yet. just spending alot trying top get the bussiness going.

So last night at the show was crazy. the rain and stuff here in ny was so bad we only had 4 people turn up for rocky.
can you belive that.

the weird part of it is. I think it was one of the most fun shows we have done in a long time.
the cast was almost acting like it was their first time being aloud to do the show. everyone ran up to time warp. eceryone was doing call backs. everyone was running around pulling stunts and it was just crazy. not ecactly the worlds best technical show. but it was definetly a lot of fun.

what a weekend

So, Im finally back from manchester. Wow...thats all I can say.
I think that I trully had one of the best times in my life this past weeknd.
everything from hanging out with friends I dont get to see, to hanging out with the stars of the film, and getting to share it alll with nicole.

I really don't know where to start. after getting there I took most of frday to myself and just ran around and did some shopping. nothning much but I love browsing and looking for stuff so I hit HMV and forbidden plannet.; didnt grab much cause I can order any of thast stuff online.

then I got to see ruth and wally who were waiting for a room. the hotell had a hard time making sence of the reservations and they were stuck waiting for a while to get intoi the room the booked along time ago.
But at least we got a chance to just sit, talk and relax.

I waso got to hang out with Larry for a good portionof the time. funny being at a convention neither of us are running we actually had time to sit back and laugh and just hang out. we do live close to each other. but between his scedual and mine we never get to just sit down and chill. (shame really)

well anyway after the coinvention started I was able to see alot of friends that I dont normally get to see. it felt so good. it's like the people you know and sometimes talk to alot on aim returning into your life after a long absence. just kinda feels good. and also sucks causew you know these are people who if you lived closer to them would wind up being some of the best you ever had in your life, and then you leave knowing that you wont see them for another few years.

but I was also able to hang out with some of the guests of the convention. like pat, kimi, gary, richard hartly and others. and just get to talk to them... that was nice. I think every one really had a good time with them cauise they wernet playing that im a star crap. thery were just like hey whats up. and what do you do.

I was lucky enough to win an auction for the original ID badge worn by Gary (oscar drill) in the film. I actually think the auction was really the funnyest one that I have been part of. Larry and me were just cracking jokes at each other. and going back and forth. like Im not bidding on it if you do, at one point while bidding on the id badge. larry finally made a bid and I screamed out "what are you doing you dont even want it" and he said "what do you mean I dont want it" to which I said "just belive me you dont" the audience was laughing quite hard at this exchange. Themn larry actually said something very sweet., he said in his mind if anyone should have the badge (for safe keeping and perserving) that in all honesty there is no one that he thought should have it besides me. That actually meant a lot to me.

besides that Just got to know alot of nice people and hopefully start a bunch of new pen pals.

alot of other stuff did happen that I wi;;post later on but it's late and Im jet lagged, so it's off to bed.

So yeah here I am with another post. I din't ever know what to say in these damn things cause things don't change so quickly that I feel the need to write about them every day =)

Just waiting for Nicole to get home from work (I hate when she has to work as she is away all day) so we can start getting ready for the show tonight.
and ummmm... yeah packing and all the rest of the stuff I have been harping about the last few days =)

So I just looked and the last 2 posts I made (tried to make) didnt seem to post. seens weird to me but what can you do.
So Im just getting ready to go to the manchester con.
Me and Nicole are very exceited about going.
We have been getting ready for this for a while now and it's just around the corner.
It will actually be nice to get away with her as the last half of the year was all school for her and work.
So she really deserves a break.

I just have some cd's and stuff to make that I promised some people and were all set.

God have I been away from live journal for a long time.
I dont know there just seem to be to many of these things blogs, myspace, live journal.
But as this is where everyone actually talks I guess I may as well just start doing this on a regular basis.
especially since I miss everyone and talking to them. I have become a recluse just working on eberything that i have to do durring the week and then going to the show on the weekends. That's life I guess.

Well yesterday was something intresting. Bill Brennan and myself did the commentary for the US release of the Shock Treatment dvd. went to a recording studio. got locked in a room. put on headphones.... they started the film and said ok TALK.

I think it went alright. I mean nothing brillient. It was really hard to talk watching the film at the same time I was trying to talk. cause you would start saying something about what was on screen and 5 more things would pass by. but oh well they said they would clean up everything in the editing. so I guess thats good. I'm just glad that it's done and over with.

But I do have to say that the print looks great. I also suggested to them when they asked me what they should use as special features. That they should put on the rocky horror treatment. and they liked the ide aand are going to see if they can get it for the release.

But I never trust any of this stuff until it comes out. so well see what they do with it and if it's used.

In other news the web company I have been working on for the last year is just about to go up and running. It's over at:

and I'm hopeing that it will be up and running by september. (should be ready before then but I wanted to give myself some extra time)
at the moment I'm sitting here with 32,000 flyers for the pre advertising trying to get bands and old demos for the site.
going to start putting some out next week. and then bring some with me to manchester convention.

halloween blues

ok so this should be my most favorite time of year. and it is don't get me wrong.
but all this getting ready for the halloween show just makes me so damn busy every year at this time that I can't do anything else with my time.
I'm not looking for sympathy. just writing down my thoughts and wishing I had help with everything. But this is all the stuff that most people take for granted and don't even notice for the most part.
Like I have been meeting with the opening band about 7 times so far this month making sure that everything is ready. editing the dvds and all the special stuff were showing for the night. made over 500 prop bags so far and still about 200 to go. have to make 300 virgin buttons and about 300 other character buttons for sale at the show this weekend. bought 200 rolls of toilet paper. had to mix all the music onto the dvd. Been in 3 meetings with managment in the last 2 weeks (all good stuff but it all takes it's toll, no pun intended)
the there is the cast. they are all excited about hallowen and all they had to do was learn 3 preshows one for each night. they started this 21/2 months ago and then about 3 weeks ago I was told that no one was into learning the new preshows and that it just wasn't going to happen.
I'm not saying that no one does anything down there but me. because that would be bullshit to say. but it just seems that the same old shit is good enough for alot of the people down there. cause somehow it went from doing a pirate preshow for friday, YMCA for saturday, and a big cast this is halloween for sunday.
and it turns into shout for friday, ymca for saturday, nd nothing for sunday.
I mean we still have a geat show ready to go on for monday. I guess that's all that really matters in the long run is that the audience sees a great 30th anniversary show and it's something I can be proud of.
oh well I guess i should get back to everything I have to do for this weekend.
Viva la Rocky and all the fun stuff.

Ah more film time on my hands

Well yesterday was productive.
In fact I am really happy. I was offered a sunday night gig at a lounge (bar) down town on the lower east side. To host basicly many movies I want. Basicly do a talk before hand about them and then show them.
I wasn't given any restrictions about what movies I can show. meaning I can break out the rare ones and see them on a big screen.
So since it's the month of October I thought I would start out with one of the most famouse cult/horror films of all time. Night of the living dead.
I have a crystal clear copy of it. (not your normal $3- dvd)
and it should be a lot of fun.

Have to write all my notes up this week for it and decide what I'm showing for the rest of the month.

Fun times in game land

well I bought the RHPS triva game the other day.
The questions aren't to hard but still a nice selection of 1,231 of them.

Got my name used on 2 of the questions.
as well a seeing Larry's, Ron's, Ruth's, Becky's and a few others.
I have to say that they made me laugh as I was reading them.

Sal asked me to go through the set and find all the mistakes. Only about 7 real mistakes on the cards. mostly the mistake of the printing.

It was such a big box for such little contence inside. But oh well. I guess they have to compete with all the other stuff on the shelves.

oh well hooking up halloween shows and meeting with clubs that want to involve us in their shows. God so much to do this time of year.

I really hope that people record their halloween shows I'd like to see what other people do for halloween.

oh well loads iof fun and work in the next month.

Had a great weekend, JD came to perform with us. I reallyt liked the stuff he did with riff especialy the fact that he had a more punk outfit then the normal screen accurate costume. actually sitting down getting to watch the film was fun especially that it meant more time to hang out with Nicole as we are usally both very busy on stage.
It tured out to be a reallyt good night as Larry V, Liz, linda Brannan and other all came down for the show. It was like having a slice of the convention come home with us.

up up and away

well this weekend I'm going to Minneapolis to perform with the cast out there. This will be the first time that I have gotten to perform with another cast on a friday or saturday night in a long time. I'm really excited to meet everyone in the cast as I only know one or two people.

The editing of my new april fools edition of rocky is coming along slowly but pretty well. I'm really quite proud of the video I did for science fiction double feature. in fact just for fun I may just run off a bunch of copies and give the edit to a few people at the vegas con.

work has been a headache trying to get this business set up. but it's under way now I guess. with any luck certin luck i'll have evrything up and running in a few months.

other then that not to much has ben up just waiting for a few friends of mine from England's cast to come in for the april fools day weekend so we can hang out and I really want to get out there one of these days soon to visit my sister and just go hang out like I used to. Maybe i'll shoot for a weekend durring around christmas so I can get in on all the sales on oxford street.

oh well must get back to the editing and everything.... will post more very soon.

My GOD!

I have become so busy that I don't even have time to think let alone update a live journal.

But as it's been bothering me for a while now to do so I thought I would start making it a regular habbit and try to update and read what is happening with everyone more often.

I have been working on a buiness for the last 2 months now. but I can't tell anyone what it is (as suggested by my lawyer) but that is taking up 99% of my time.

Plus I keep taking on other projects and my hobbies.

so, I ordered my tickets and hotel room for CDR (the las vegas convention) so I finally decided to go thanks to the wonderful ms. Kisa being able to stay with my cats for the weekend. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone at all.

Looking foward to it. I have been keeping to myself for the last 5 years or so. besides the NYC con this past July I havent been to a convention since 1999 and that was in england. So I really do miss seeing everyone.

Other then that nothing much to tell ......

ok I have been neglecting my online life for ways to long now. I have been trying to focus on all this studying I have to do and writing and what not.

But it's just not working. So Ive drcided to try to go back to balancing everything at the same time as even thoe things moved slowly it still felt a bit quicker than this.
Maybe that playstation 2 I got is the problem =)

but oh well. in a little while I have to give my (now) old editing school a call and tell them that I'll be taking tghe crtification test on Thursday the 16th if they can fut me in that day.

right now I'm actually making a copy of a really hard to find fim wich I think is great. it's the 1956 version of 1984 with donald pleasence and edmond o'brien. This copy is a bit rough but it's one of the only known prints in the universe so I can't be to picky with it, but it's definetly watchable.

nothing else to report I hope evryone had a great holiday and is well and I hope to hear from you all soon =)

I just wanted to say sorry to everyone for being MIA this week and not being on line at all.
My editing class starts today and this last week I have just been trying to get everything done before Im tied up for the month.

god everything is hitting at once school, halloween and working on the script/ music for it has just been crazy. at least everything is running smoothly so far.

ok so heres the basic Idea is that Im getting sick of all this junk mail that is in my mail box every day. I swear that I must get about at lease 5-10 peoces a day.

Now Im sure that all of you are sick of it as well.
So what i suggest we all do is this.

Very simply...

Just keep a pen on you.

When you get your junk mail DON'T OPEN IT!!!!!!!
Simply mark it return to sender and post it in the local mail box.

Now it may not be that funny if only 25 of us do it. but start circulating the idea around and when it becomes hunders and maybe thousands they will rethink spending money on mail that isn't even opened or looked at.

So I don't know how everyone else always has so much to write about in their live journals. Some people make 4 or 5 posts a day.
I guess what they are sayting is intresting but at the same time I'm wondering why we do it at all.

I guess this is one of the new ways of the world that i just don't understand.
I have been seriusly thinking about all of this recently.

the act of writting a physical letter is gone to e-mail.
Phone calls have become im conversations
and the rest of the act of telling stories of wounderful things that you have done durring the week has gone to Live journal.

by posting everything on line I agree it does save time and what not so that i don't have to say the same things 100 times. all I have to do is post it once and everyone who whats to know can in the blink of an eye.

It just feels like somehow were loosing out as every year goes by. That human contact just becomes less and less inportant.

There is nothing I actually have to go out for now. I could concivably just stay in my house untill I die.

well if you think about it. witht he video editing Im hopeing to get a job in after I get certified I can just do all that here.
so I can...

work from home
get on the internet and have fed ex pick up the stuff when its time to ship back to whomever.
I can order my groceries on line.
I can rent films or just download them.
I can order medication

If you actually think about I tont think there is really anything you can't get off the internet and from any country you want it from.

is it so surprising that it's getting harder and harder to get along with people?
Everyone sits infont of their compuetr and just types aay their hopes, dreams, and opinions on to a screen that dosent talk back (yet), that won't give you grief no matter what you type into it (yet), that wont judge (yet).

But when sitting across from someone face to face these same people have nothing to say. or is a disagreement comes up they get so flustered because they are not used to keeping up with a real time conversation that they dont read take 5 minuets and then respond to.

This isn't really being directed at anything or anyone. this is just me rambling on about nothing.
But oh well you didn't hear it from me, you read it on the ineternet =)

I just signed up for the class at manhayyen edit wokshop so that I can get certified in final cut pro and start making money editing. (with any luck)

BB Kings

Well BB Kings is over now. Had a really good time there the staff of the place was really cool and helped us out a lot.
The intresting thing was that there were two small screens on either side of us showingt he film and we were in the middle just surronded by a small legitimate stage. Watching from the back (For floorshow) as I was getting ready to enter for space sceen. I thought it looked really goodand framed everything very nicely.

sally we play on enormous stages that leave a lot of open air around us. so it was nice to see there be just the right amount of room for once.

The crowed was very attentive and the management seemed very pleased with th show we put on. So we may be hearing back from them soon for another performance.

Bad thing about it is no matter how much hese showes go well and everything is nice. I always wounder how everything was at the theatre. cause thats really the cast show. you know what I mean.

I kinda feel like that's my audience and I'd rather be there regardless if it's a small turn out or sold out. I know that must sound weird to you guys. Just something special to me about doing it on home turff.

So I'm getting all ready to take my month class and get certified in final cut pro. Damn these classes are expensive. were talking a shit load. But I guess with the certification Ill actually be making real money and can start making it back rather quickly.

I think Im just going to start relooking over the manuals and everything for the next moth before it begins just cause yeah I edited a documentary and other stuff. But there are some things I've just never used and from what I hear the certification test is tricky.

But of well I'm sure I can do it.

other than that just working on the music for the script a bit more on sunday. I hope we get a lot done. I think im just going to kick back and write a bunch if I can just sit down tomorrow undesterbed for a few hours.

oh well remember gargonzola is not a japanese monster......it's a cheese.

Well adobe has halped me out.
It seems that (after a long time of the perator saying "huh?, I thought it was here)
That I was only able to get the standard edition of after effects as a download and thats why my profecional versions serial number wouldn't work. So alas I have to wait for the CD to shw up now. But they are going to give me a refund for the other one so it all works out.

oh well I'll just wait for the cd to come and then Ill have all the new cool effects nd upgrades that I want. HAHAHAHAHHAHHAAHHAHAHAHA

So I have been trying to find time to work on everything that I have to and I have finally figured out that the reson that everything goes so slowly is because of all the distractions there are in ones life. Even though I'm working at home and everything I really have to make a schedual and stick to it. Like make 9-5 my hours of just working on things and nothing else and then having the rest of the day free for my friends and family and whatever else needs my attenion.

Of course with anything else I know that this will have to be rather flexable cause sometimes I'll have to rearrange things to fit in the things I want to do (Like my trips to London, or people I want to hang out with) But at least except for thoes odd days I should be able to do it and accomplish alot more.

The show has been an intresting place lately. There has been a lot of things rocking the boat which I really don't even see the use for. petty squabbling, talking behind peoples backs, just the general stuff that has always been there really. Nothing new. Just don't see what the use of any of it is. I refuse to play into it but that seems to make me seem wrong in some poeples eyes and right in others. I just think if everyone did what they were suposed to do then everything would run so smoothly and be so much fun. Maybe I'm a dreamer but one can hope.

I also have to give the people at adobe a call tomorrow and figure out why I can't upgrade my Affter Effects Proffecional. I have all the serial numbers and everything is 100% legal store bought. probobly just an over sight on my part and will be fixed very quickly.

Ok so here I go into the world of Icons. Everyone and their mother has them but not me, or is it I? oh well I'm sure it dosn't make much of a diffrence. But I think it's high time I give in to peer presure and just join suit. A few Icons were sent to me by Patti which I could choose from and I must say I liked the selection so i decided to pick the ones that (to me at least) could pinpoint diffent moods that I normally find myself In and would go well with the posts I make.

I'm sure that they will change over time but the winners are currently...

1. Sid James- Whom I know most of you won't know. He starred in a load of films in england and was mostly known for being in the Carry on series of films that i love so much. Not to mention a few TV shows I love like Bless this house and two in clover. oh well either you know him or you dont =)

TV addictions

Ok so I have to finally come out and say it. But I am a bad girls fan.
Ok now all of my american friends are going who? what? except for about 4 or 5 of them who have watched the series with me.

Lets just say it's an Drama from england that I have been watching for 5 years now and what keeps happening to these characters gets worse and worse. The problem is that it's not to cheesy it's actually really well written so the cliffhangers are murderous to wait another year to see.

So they are doing a play version called (what else): Bad girls the musical in london starting in November.

Of course the problem with this is that I'm going to have to fly ovr and see it and I really don't want to spend that kind of money at the moment. I had this whole plan about letting the cash pile rise instead f fall for a bit. but of course the moment you think like that something always comes up that you wanna do.

Nothing else is really going on just trying to get a few things cleaned up before next week when I am going to be working on my script full time.

that will make me really happy I think I should just section off part of the day for that where I dont answer the phone, go online, have the tv on (kinda a no distractions kinda thing) But with the way the phone rings around here it gets a bit silly =)

The weekend that was

Wow man Oh Man was this a weekend to remember.

I was invited to join the Home of Happiness (NJ RHPS) to perform at the brook haven ampatheatre a few months back.

A few of us went out there 2 months ago and did the general PR stuff. which when looking at the place empty was in no way able top prepare me for was actually going to go on the night of the performance.

when we got there it was empty (of course) so we got into costume and make up and the crowd started coming in about 7PM. They were all really excited and started grabbing the cast for pictures and auto graphs. But my favorite person of the night was this 5 year old boy who came up to make asking to take a picture and he was dressed as riff raff. Just a black coat with a hunch in it. but he looked great. so I got on my knee and said "ok, wheres the camera"?

he told me he didn't have one and he looked so sad =(

So we had made a jumbotron by hooking a video camera into the theatres video system and I told him "Come on Ill put you on TV" his face lit up. so there we are on the jumbotron with him on my sholders and the crowed went wild.

I was later told that that clip actually made it onto the news. So I guess I did put him on TV.

So the final numbers came in and Larry said that there was 4400 people that attendid the show.

Wow it was great.

But it was even more special to me cause I got to hang out with some of my friends that i normally dont get to do the show with from the NJ cast.

I would go into the actual performances and all that but it's really hard to see whats going on when your playing Riff as your running all around the entire stage the whole night. all you see is little bits of performances when you have the little interactions with people on stage. so I'll let someone else post that.

Like I said it was just really great to perform with a bunch of people who were willing to forget everything we have learned before (meaning in our own theatres) and just go with anything that happened as not everyone was used to the same blocking or where things were kept.

but I don't think the crowed coud tell that we havent done the show together for the last 25 years every night of our life.

This was a night that reminded me why I do Rocky... and has probobly set me up for the next 20+ years =)

more stuff / less room

Ok so thoes bootlegs seem to be complete crap. But there there is still a bead on another copy of the somebody is watching me tv film by way of a bootleg dvd. may look into it another day. Just trying to do some work here on the convention dvd. so far 2 orders for the con and documentry dvds (I helped put togetehr the NY rocky horror convention about a month back) and I decided to buy yet another Video camera. Why?? because of the fact that i have to use my perfecional one as a playback vcr which isnt really a ood thing as I dont want it wearing down to quickly. so I went out an grabbed a low end one that is a palm mini dv camcorder. it's cute, its small, will be nice to take on vacation with me to london next time I go. Most like ly in a few months as there is a play opening that i want to go see. anyway the camcorder is a panasonic PV-GS120 there are cute little features on it that Ill never use but oh well as long as it has clean playback.

just listening to virgin radio UK on the web and they announced that within 30 years sceintists will be able to locate astroids that could demolish the earth years befoe it happens. but of course they havent even started on ways to blow them up once they have found them. which brings me to an intresting point. why the hell are we so worried. we only have a small % chance of being hit. all the planets around times millions of years x no planets destroid yet. Huh? ph well let them worrie about it I guess.

oh well till there is something else worth talking about to waste more space on the web.
actually last thought on that. were all worried about saving space and limiting trash and what not. arent we worried about that happening to the web? there is so much crap out there already and no one is moneriting all the web pages that are no longer being updated and that are just sitting there. shouldn'tthere be a web clean up crew
